About Adipotide
Chimeric peptide combining a targeting sequence for prohibitin on fat vasculature with a GLA domain that induces mitochondrial apoptosis in adipose endothelial cells. Rodent studies showed 37% body fat reduction in 4 weeks. Non-human primate studies showed significant body weight and waist circumference reduction. Human safety trials limited.
